About this ebook

“The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“—InTouch Weekly

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

Beckett Gentry is absolutely not Xaden Riorson...but I think they'd definitely be best friends! With that said, I read this after finishing Fourth Wing & Iron Flame-needing to see how Rebecca Yaros wrote in general (were those books the exception or the rule with her?). So happy that I read this book. I'll be rereading this for years. It grabbed my heart and squeezed, never letting go. The endurance, perseverance, love and loyalty of these characters will just stay with me always.

A friend had recommended this book saying that it was the saddest romance she had ever read and that she was obsessed with the characters. I bought a physical copy before sampling it because she said it was THAT good. I couldn't disagree more. A military romance, in a world dominated by the military in the media, with a whisper of romance. Boring. Very Hallmark. Not worth the time it took to read it nor the money I spent buying this just off of one recommendation. Sorry R. Y. Not a fan.

Wow. This is amazing book! There is everything. Love, trust, insecurities, and a lot more. It's so well written that I could feel like I'm right there in the middle of the story! Give it a try and you won't regret. Just one advice - keep a box or two of handkerchiefs nearby.
